FAQs

When are you open? Bilpin Cider Company is open every day (except for Christmas day) from 10am to 4pm.

How many ciders do you have? Are your tastings free of charge? We have seven alcoholic and three non-alcoholic ciders. Our Cellar Door hosts free tastings across our range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic ciders.

Do you accept cash or card? We accept both cash and selected credit cards (Visa & MasterCard).

Do we need to book? No bookings are required unless you intend visiting with a group of 12 or more people.

How do we get there? We are approximately 1.5 hours drive from Sydney. We do not have a courtesy bus service. There is no taxi or Uber services in Bilpin. Our car park cannot accommodate buses or coaches. Mini Buses are welcome by appointment only.

What else can we do on the farm? Our Bilpin Cider Food Hut offers a selection of picnics, apple pies, brownies, coffee & tea etc. You can meet our friendly farm animals, enjoy the gardens, play lawn games and walk through our apple orchard.

Can you buy drinks there? You can purchase cider take away sales through our Cellar Door. We have an outdoor Bar with our full range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic ciders, plus a selection of beers and wine.

Do you have any restrictions around bringing food/drink? Is it ok to bring food for children? We do not allow outside food or drinks as we serve food on the premises. We do allow snacks for the kids.

Can we bring our dog? We are pet friendly with a few simple rules – they must be on a leash and supervised at all times. Please pick up after your dog, we have poop bags available if you have forgotten your own. A water bowl for dogs is available. 

Can we pick our own fruit? All of our apples go to making our ciders so there is no apple picking in our orchard. We can recommend local orchards for pick-your-own and fruit sales. The average fruit season runs from Christmas (with stone fruit) to around Mother’s Day, with apples starting late January.

Tell me about your picnics? Picnics are served every weekend and Public Holiday from 11am to 4pm. They are designed to serve 2 hungry people and are $55 per picnic. Gluten free picnics are available. Most dietary requirements can be catered for upon booking.

Do we need to bring our own chairs, cutlery etc? You can borrow our picnic blankets or we have outdoor and undercover seating. Table bookings cannot be guaranteed. We provide plates, cutlery etc with every picnic. You are welcome to bring your own chairs or picnic blanket if you wish.

How do we book a picnic? Contact our office during business hours 02 4567 0704 or email picnics@bilpincider.com. We require a contact number, number of people and approximate arrival time.

When do you have live music? We hold our Thirsty Third Sundays on the 3rd Sunday of every month except August, with live music and great food from 12pm to 4pm.  We also celebrate other occasions such as Mother’s and Father’s Day, St Patrick’s Day, Australia Day - see our Facebook or Instagram for details @bilpincider

Do you host events? We can cater for small events of up to 40 people by appointment. We do not host weddings and our venue is not available for exclusive hire as we are open to the general public. Contact Regina for more information picnics@bilpincider.com
